Women of God Orphanage
This orphanage is a new project our team has taken on. Within Ugandan culture, women are seen as lower class citizens. With this being the case, daughters are often seen as property. They are often sold into marriage, even at the age of 12. Young girls, especially teens who are not fortunate enough to be able to be in school, try to find work for their families and they end up being trafficked. This orphanage will be a safe place to house 12 minor girls who are being rescued off the streets, being sold into marriage, or from human trafficking. They will attend the local school within the village, get psychological care, learn trade skills, and more importantly learn that God is with them. They will learn that even though their earthly father might have failed them, their Heavenly Father never will. The foundation has been built and we are actively fundraising, but we are still in need of funds to build the first and second floor.
